while i agree with everything you said, hot water works and is 100% worth it. If you want instant hot water, just turn on hot faucet in sink till water gets hot. then bidet will be hot instantly

Any toilet that uses a standard or elongated seat will work, so the answer should be 'Yes' unless you're stuck with only specialty seats from Kohler.
