It sounds like you have something nice. Read the manual. Using left over 5w20 Mobil 1 has ruined a B&S mower of mine. I'm much more cautious and follow the guidelines.

Synthetic is alright, but I think you have to stay within their guidelines of 10w30 or 10w40. Like he said on some machines it's better to read the manuals.
