Yes. Some older synthetics 20 to 30 years ago can get tricky (which is where most of the negative synthetic "lore" is from). But yes you can.

It sounds like you have something nice. Read the manual. Using left over 5w20 Mobil 1 has ruined a B&S mower of mine. I'm much more cautious and follow the guidelines.

Synthetic is alright, but I think you have to stay within their guidelines of 10w30 or 10w40. Like he said on some machines it's better to read the manuals.
