I have a 2DS, OG 3DS and a "NEW" 3DS XL. I strongly recommend going to your local pawn shops and checking out prices. I bought the 2DS from Gamestop originally for $70. Solid deal if you ask me....

Some Pokemon games dont even support 3D at all. Others will only in certain circumstances. It's pretty gimmicky and not worth the premium over the 2DS, imo.

It depends on your eyes. I could never get the 3D to work clearly and not be blurry or double vision. Some people have really good experiences with it. Also a thing to note, the 2DS XL is lighter...
