Can you buy the two items and return the tools and keep the battery

I think most people don't realize that Ryobi has several tools that they make 2 versions of (a "good" and a "better"). The "better" tools are better.

They are not the same, specifically the sawzall and the drill. The specs will probably be listed as the same/similar, but the build quality is much different. There have been some comparison reviews...

The "Better" tools are brushless.

Home Depot has the normal price to be $278, so it doesn't seem like a bad deal at $179. Also has over 1000 reviews at 4.5 stars. ...

I bought this last week. The battery really makes this a deal. The $199 deal posted a few days ago, however, has more tools and overall better batteries and charger.

What kind of preposterous question is this? No. You can not. It's a kit, you would have gotten your answer faster if you'd clicked the link to see what all this is. The tools wouldn't be splayed...

To be fair, HD often offers deals similar to "Buy X, recieve free Y", where HD then discounts both items separately allowing you to return X to receive Y at the discounted price.

Not a bad deal, but I think if I had to choose between this and the other Ryobi deal for $199, I’d choose the latter. It comes with the impact driver and multi tool. I do like that this deal includes...

It's a combo kit in one box. Anyone had experience with 3rd party 4Ah batteries on Amazon? I seen some as low as $35.

While yes, the brushless are better, there is still a difference between Ryobi's brushed items themselves.

The impact driver is the most useful tool. This kit not having it makes the deal not as good as the other kit in my opinion.

I agree. That 4aH battery is quite impressive though. I have one that came with my Ryobi Miter Saw and I love it.

Not a fan, they don't have the protective components that work with the tools to sense temperature. The tools should shut off when it's too hot to protect both the tool and the battery. Also, the...

How can someone tell? The home depot website specs show both circular saws having the same size and rpm. I just bought the 179$ deal yesterday but am considering exchanging it for the 6 tool set. Are...

Extra batteries are a great deal, but they need to lose the stupid flashlight - who the hell wants a crappy flashlight with the bonus feature of heavy as hell with the battery attached? The tools are...

Thanks, I'll look into that for the future. For other brands Workshop Addict and Ave weren't fans. I personally wanted to know about Milwaukee M12 ones but M18 and Dewalt often don't fair well in...

Just FYI this is the budget kit with an extra large battery. The 6 tool combo kit has a much better circ saw, sawzall, and drill with the bonus of their job-max base and the impact driver along...
