I have the Samsung VA here at work and the Asus IPS at home can't go wrong with IPS or VA in my opinion. The IPS is slightly better but then there's IPS Glow / Bleed.

Not a tech nerd but don't you want 4k hdr? Should look into Samsung uh750 for $330 on SSA ale. Lot cheaper too or just buy 40-43" hdr tv. Or even TCL 55" with hdr Dolby vision for $550.

Most people can't tell different between IPS and VA unless you're into photographic, video or graphic design. Or maybe if you wait a year or so for an IPS 120Hz 21:9 at 1440p will go down to $500.
