I, personally, think that one is inferior because the connector is two pieces. The solid connector is what makes the powerline ii so good.. I've had a 6 ft one for a while and I love it.

From what I can tell, Powerline 1 has 18-month warranty. 2 has the lifetime warranty. And for those interested, Powerline is the smooth cable, while Powerline+ is the braided wire.

I have owned over 10 of their cables. I have had a 50% failure rate. I used them in the car and home. I was moving them between devices and vehicles occcasionaly. I was not rough on them in any way....

Apple cables are the worst! But Apple does replace the cable within a yr under warranty. They will literally open up a cable box and say “here you go”. Many people don’t seem to be aware of this.
