looks really nice but the 3k screen doesn't seem worth the extra money vs. the refurb $593 dell xps 13 that was on sale last week. I think after chase/paypal and cashback, it was $505 total for me.

The fan noise part is due to the 100mb partition. It's known issue but the solution is very simple. Just removing that partition fixes it.
