They have always accepted it without question in all BB&Y stores that I've tried. Technically, it is listed as excluded, but they always apply it. You may want to try a different store.

I saw it in Costco in Norcal as well. Don't know about paying $450+ for a wand vacuum (the reviews indicate 8 min on full power which is the same strength as a regular vacuum).

It's a scam. It's the exact same as the Motorhead for $499 (except it has a bigger canister). Use a Bed Bath & Beyond 20% coupon in store to get it for $399. See my post above.
