I have a MSI 1080 Duke 8G new out of box. It is a bit too high for my computer case and would like to trade for a similar 1080 with height < 5.25". Anyone interested?

If the 11 series is not out within 90 days, more the reason to buy this right now for those who's in need of a better GPU. 11 series doesn't get released in 90 days...buy this now and enjoy gaming...

I would not do the step up IMHO It is risky, you are essentially paying the same price but over 90 days instead of all upfront. So you have lots of downside with little upside except gaming with a...

Looks like I was right on the $$$ with the new cards. Only thing I didn't see coming was the 2080 ti. Now let's wait and see if my prediction on 10-series pricing holds. ::gets popcorn::

Buying a 10 series card for 20 series prices is like voluntarily walking backwards through a corn field. Need some bench-marking data from the 20 series to see what is the best bang for the buck!

Hmmm... could you buy this, use the EVGA upgrade policy to get an 1180 when it comes out and keep the power supply? How would that work?

You can get an 1180/2080 through the Step-Up program with EVGA, so no need to return it even! https://www.evga.com/support/stepup/

Didn't miss it at all. And it's not as huge as your wishful thinking thinks it is. Addressed it specifically by pointing out miners have already been dumping cards for months. You can thank that...

It's all about the application.... Gsync, resolution, fps, performance to cost, energy efficiency, visual eye candy, satisfaction. You have a lot to learn. Ex. I'm still running an AMD FX8300 series...

Yes only 38%...that's a difference between 100fps to 130+fps on a 144hz monitor...in a game like PUBG where that high fps matters. If you only care about 60fps...I guess that's a different story.

Yeah this isn't a BAD deal but with the 1080 just recently dropping to 400 it's almost like why bother. Lotta thumbs up were given oblivious to that fact, based on retail of 470 for the 1080.

STEP-UP INVENTORY - WHAT CAN I STEP-UP TO? Products listed are mostly stock (not factory overclocked, or water cooled) due to stock limitations.

If you watch reviews on Youtube, average MSRP was around $649 which was a little over 2 years ago. That’s just crazy!

I am still using a Radeon 7850 2gb card from...2013? Plays battlefield 1 just fine, no issues at all. I paid $174 for this thing, totally worth it lol

It really all depends on the resolution if you're only using 1080p then you don't need more than the gtx 1060.

If I’m not mistaken they don’t usually offer their FTW/SC2 cards in the step-up. From their site: “EVGA will only release reference versions of its products, NVIDIA reference spec and clock, to...

So is this an overkill if I want 1080p 144hz? Problem is I want to play PUBG and I know it’s more so CPU intensive, but it be nice to be “future proof” Incase I wanted to go 1440p 144hz down the road...

The post you are quoting is far from fact. Expecting 50% off msrp is waaaaaay to wishful. First off, new cards will be priced higher so as to not eat into margins of unsold cards. Second off, new...

No, you are wrong, and here's why... Edit for quote from 1060 thread.. The important thing to know that they sold way more video cards, than ever before. The vast majority was to miners,...

FYI: The PSU isnt deducted from a step up trade in. Because the PSU is ‘free’ on the invoice, EVGA won’t deduct it. Thus, you can buy this, use the full total toward an 1180, keep the PSU. THAT...

I'm not off. For it to be a real SD with 30+ upvotes, cards need to be 60-50% of MSRP after 2.5 years. Also know that NVIDIA was able to drag it out longer because of lack of competition. The 11...
