At least they finally figured out to remove the plastic piece running up the sides of the blade that always broke at the tip. Everyone has those, and knows ten people that do as well.

Agreed. Also, some of the Amazon reviews report rusting after the dishwasher (with pics), so can't even do that to halfway sanitize. Since I use shears for poultry they're no good for me.

I usually just use HF shears which you can get FWP. When they break (not often), just replace. I'm not chopping bones with them though, and I do put them in the dishwasher all the time, no rust.
