Maverick was good at the time but is complete trash now, so you're in for a treat. Hammershot is regarded as Nerf's best dart pistol bar none. I find it to be extremely accurate (for a dart gun)...

Have the same issue when my son tries to use it, he doesnt prime it all the way and the dart gets jammed in it...I personally haven't had a problem with the gun.
