That's why I don't do vent ones bc the phone definitely gets hot but then dash ones do get hot as well in summer so almost need 2 for different reasons.

it must use a compass to orient itself initially otherwise how would it know what directions to give you? but once you are in motion, technically it would know so the issue might not be noticeable....
