I wouldn't trust them. Several years back when I bought an open-box SSD and tried to return it, they denied it because the SN on the SSD didn't match the box. So, I doubt they're thorough.

Never had any reliability issue with any of the Denons I've owned. All have been rock solid. Yamaha definitely has the better app though.

Very similar to TSR-7810 but a year newer. A870 also comes with 3 year mfrs warranty. don't think that's worth $113 though, especially with the generous Costco return policy.
