This was the main reason I chose this over the vitamix. It fits on the counter under the kitchen cabinet and I don't have to lug it or it's jar from inside the cabinet each time I needed to use it.

Got one last year and found out it is quite hard to use for smoothies without a tamper. I think a tamper should be standard (like Vitamix). Of course, Blendtec will want to sell you the Twister Jar...
