Yes it's online only. Fun game but had major server issues when I played with some friends a while back. Hopefully, Ubisoft fixed those issues by now.

Had exactly the same problem. Keys says it has been used. Frustrating. I've only used CDkeys once or twice before, but never previously had an issue.
