I've had one fail and I have another in a laptop that just freezes the whole computer. So I am 1-2 on them.

Thanks, that was posted by me - only replying because I want to point out that I've posted a similar synopsis about the SX8200 as well. To be brief on that particular one: it's an excellent value for...

I’ve been running SSDs since the early days of them and haven’t had one fail. I run VMs, use them as scratch disks for video work. You’re fine.

On average, there is no way that HDD will outlive solid state devices. Just forget about it. I have a drawer full of dead HDD's and not a single SSD in there.

Nice analysis, but doesn't take into account reliability of product. I've owned six ADATA drives (SU series). Four had to be RMAed and the one of them twice. That said, I knew what I was getting into...

Thanks, I picked up the SU650 960GB. Yeah, it's not the fastest, but I'm sure it'll speed up my system as the main disk vs my current conventional drive. For $114 shipped, 960GB, yeah that works fine...

Time to stop the NVME gouging. Should be the same price as SATA IMO....

Interesting, thanks. It looks like (as you say) an SSD makes a significant difference in the newer games with massive levels to load. The previous testing I had seen was more like those halfway...

SU650, sure although SSD makes little difference on a PS4 from speed tests I've seen. I'd rather have a larger drive in traditional 2.5" format. If you're thinking of the SX8200, it won't fit of...

I'm not sure I agree. The chart on this page indicates the speed bump provided by an SSD in a regular PS4 is actually faster than upgrading to a pro with an HDD.

I have a 40GB OCZ one that has eight years of life under its belt and 350 terabatyes written, but it's still humming along. Never had an SSD fail yet either.

$203.99 - $36 = $203.99 ?? Is 203.99 the original price or after coupon price?

$203.99 AC. Can't be more clear.

Not all HDDs are made the same. And, the way you use them also matters. I have easily 2-3k toshiba, hitachi, and seagate drives in storage for recycling at my institution due to unacceptable...

Get gud! Just kidding. Since SSDs are really starting to drop in price (finally), it completely makes sense to go for it. I have a 2TB (non SSD) in my PS4 and I'm hitting the storage wall now...

That's a fair position. I die a *lot* in games, so the load times become a significant factor in how much enjoyment I get on a game. I currently use a 1 TB ssd and only have to deal with space...
