Running 4 sticks at higher frequencies is harder than running 2, at least for ryzen. I don't know why though.

Vendors may use different dies in different batches. In most cases, having 2 dimms in the same batch but with non-consecutive serials should not hurt... Definitely worth trying though.

If you can spend the money somewhere else and don't need 6 physical cores its worth thinking about it. I mostly do autocad which is notoriously poor at scaling beyond 1 core, so an 8350K or 2400...

All DDR 4 will show 2133mhz before enabling the XMP profile. They do this so you can make sure your motherboard/CPU can handle the XMP clock.
