dell is cutting even more corners. nobody should be using HDDs anymore in laptops for the boot drive, only for additional storage. 250GB SSDs would run them $20 or less in large volume.

It's a really good deal. I'd prefer an SDD in there though. Having a hard drive doesn't rule it out, but it's not as good as it could be. Still, for 400 bucks good luck even coming close elsewhere.
