Rookie has been ordered straight to series by abc, so they wont do a pilot test followed by single episode orders. Even if it gets cancelled, the episodes will exist so they should become available...

Ah I was under the impression it was an Amazon Prime exclusive. I haven't had overpriced cable in years as a cordcutter, so I don't even know what the hell is on regular TV anymore.

Perhaps they are loss leaders. Get people invested and used to Amazon Instant Video and using Video Prime, too. It gets people in the door, so-to-speak. I bought the new season of Bobs Burgers...
