Yeah, you can just buy one off the costco.com website or in store. You can technically get them at squaretrade.com, too, but I believe they are substantially less expensive through costco.

It is in the actual LG warranty. If you read it, it has no mention at all about authorized or unauthorized. Your TV warranty is per the terms of the contract, not the website.
