Got 1 from Amazon. Roborock has repair facility in CA in case we have to send the unit back within 1 year. That is much better than sending it back to China on our own dime.

You can. You just press a button and it starts cleaning. The app is useful as you can define where it cleans. I forget if if initial setup requires the app.
