These look great for moderate gamers. The i7 would work really well if you're editing video and need mobility (although I edit video on an old i5 with no problem, so don't count THAT one out).

Holding out for a sale on the 2018 refresh that, among other changes, moves the webcam to above the screen.

Question for you the 3:2 screen. Does that mean it would be bad for Netflix/videos?

Ive been looking at ultraportables and lighter laptops and this one seems to be good but none can match the Huawei i7 version specs at the $1350 (no tax on Newegg) blackfriday price. Is it the...

Thanks! Fingers crossed. Totally understand re. having glossy screen concerns. I did too until I read reviews where people liked it (no pattern of complaints re. glossy screen) and decided to take a...

After using many different brands of laptops over the years, my wife and I have both settled on the LG Gram 15. She uses it as her main machine, and loves the fact that she can pick it up like a...

you would see black bars on top and bottom, but with the tiny bezels, even with black bars, it might have more area loaded with video than a typical notebook in its size. I loved the display on...

I use the 14 inch. Picked it after a head to head with the Matebook i7. The weight is the reason to buy, the screen is plenty crisp and USB-C plus proper HDMI is essentially impossible to find. ...

PS: Screen brightness is my biggest complaint. But not at all a deal breaker. Webcam is mediocre, but who cares. It does charge over USB-C.

Pretty good deal on the 15 inch, these do come with 2 SSD slots which “should be the new standard”. Use the 256gb as a boot drive and pop a 1tb SSD in the other slot :)

They also have the Gram 14 with i7, touch screen, 8GB RAM (one stick - so there's a slot empty for an extra 8-16GB), and 512GB SSD for $1396, which is around $150 off. Not quite as slick, but seems...

I own a 2018 gram. It's really the lightest laptop in this size you can get. Screen is good, small borders, and 1080 is perfectly fine for my uses. Screen brightness is fine as well but it's...

2.4 lbs actually, not 2.5. ;) The 2018 Gram's battery life (72 Wh version at least) is at the very top; battery life, along with being the lightest 15.6" laptop, are the LG Gram 15's two biggest...

This or the Matebook X Pro? I know the MXP is more expensive (i5), but is it worth the difference?
Post #121677370 added 11-15-2018 12:56 PM by coolpal in Deal Talk
If physical dimensions are important and you love the 3:2 display, MXP can't be beat, but the weight on these LGs might come in lower than MXP and the screen is lower res I believe.

Keep in mind this version of the 13" has 4gb of the RAM soldered onto the motherboard, so adding an 8GB stick would only bring you to twelve. I personally think the lenovo x1 carbon for $911 is a...
