If you have Ethernet runs in your house, I suggest multiple access points like this. But if you do not have Ethernet already a mesh system can be a sufficient alternative for most purposes.

Actually they are both. You can run connected via POE or set them up as mesh (Wireless Uplink) devices. You still have to connect the Ethernet cable for the controller to adopt the AP. Once adopted...

I believe the pro only supports up to 4 SSID's. I have a full unifi setup in my house and it's rock solid. Not a fan of mesh networks.

It should, but depending on barriers (walls, trees etc.) An option is the ACLR which is rated at 600 feet, and the ACPRO is 400 feet(?) I think, much cheaper but lesser thoroughput though.
