You don't need an impact driver. In fact, I would be afraid to use these with one as there'd be too much torque and would likely strip the screw. A standard driver is fine.

I've learned to step up to the flex bits as they are all the same in that realm (DW, IR, MK, BO, etc.) and I go though about 50% less so it outweighs itself.
