Anyone else seeing the 10% coupon code dead? I thought it was supposed to be valid until end of day. Maybe they caught on to that plus the 15% points back . . .

If someone is looking for a machine for virtual reality, does the 60hz screen matter much?
Post #126021769 added 03-11-2019 3:37 PM by AkujunkanX in Deal Talk
These comments are all sorts of LOL. Few things to ponder - in most gaming laptops the screen is to "Get by" not to use exclusively. These should spend most of their life docked attached to an...

How do you know that Cooling is bad on this new G7 laptop? Can you show me a review or you are just assuming based on the previous generation Dell G7? And I am getting surprised to the things you are...

Why are you repeating my words? I have said that multiple times that apart from some massive multiplayer games with very low requirements, GTX 1060 does not have the capability for any newer titles...

Yes, you make compromise. That why You can not come to every gaming laptop thread and trash " 60hz screen". That what happen to every Slickdeals thread since the overpowered laptop blown up. What...

He didn't imply that people don't game with external monitors, he implied your argument that you shouldn't care about the laptop screen and should only game on the monitor. Why buy a laptop if you're...

So between this and the 1060 walmart deal for 999 plus tax, I decided to go with this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-ROG-GL503VS-WS56-15-6-FHD-Intel-Core-i5-NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX1070-Win-10-... ...

That has to be the cheapest RTX deal I’ve seen. Yeah it probably has 60hz screen though but this price is competitive for GTX.

The OP deals were liquidations done by Walmart and not "normal" deals.

I am sure you won't be able to provide a single link showing that new Dell G7 with RTX has poor thermal solution....because it does not have that issue. I did the video search as you mentioned and ...

Yes, but with a 1060, you'll get more than 60 fps on most games, so in that sense, it's fine.

Only with mid to low settings in the newer titles. And point is then what is the point of having a 144 hz screen if the GPU cannot reach half the fps in high settings

What type of graphics card are you using with your VR set? Have you had any issues? I plan on traveling with it, playing VR in parties. But also use it to replace my desktop and play games from...

2060 mobile is on average 26% better than 1060 mobile, ranging from 35-11% on the video I linked. You're not being very unbiased with what you are consistently saying. Most new games can play at...

That and the OP deals are pretty much dead with the exception of a few here and there that I imagine re-sellers pick up quickly. Tongfang has moved production to the RTX line so the chances of...

TB3 doesn’t really matter if your thinking your using it for an EGPU. You take a 20-30% hit and then you don’t even know if it will play nice with your system. Sure a Gtx 1060 won’t be able to push...

I suspected so. People who compare a Dell XPS 15 with a gaming laptop, are basically idiot and uneducated.
Post #126064411 added 03-13-2019 7:23 AM by TwinPrime in Deal Talk
I agree. Even with coding, office apps, browsing etc, you get used to that nice fluid mouse movement. You will notice it immediately when you go back to 60 hz!

I think it's based on what people are mainly going to use it for. I agree if the laptop will primarily be used with an external monitor, the dell is better. But the 144hz(and slightly bigger screen)...

I never trashed the 60hz screen - quit with your straw-man arguments. However, given a choice between a 60hz 1080p panel and a 144hz 1080p panel, if price is not an issue, most will go with the 144...
