Admittedly knowing little about ssds, I have a samsung ssd pm851 m.2 256. Would I be able to replace it with this drive? if not Any ideas that would work?

This getting down voted though it's 100% true. This drive literally slows down to slower than a spinning magnetic disk when it gets too full - 100MBs writes, that's awful. The dumb argument that...

I was reading that Intel is nearly half the speed of Samsung pro.then another place was talking about how your mother board slows down the read write speed you can have a fast nvme hard drive but...

This drive has only 200 write life time on each cell, good luck!

This can said of any component, that is to say the speed is limited by the slowest connected component.

Why is the model "660p" not in the title and description?

Samsung SSD warranty: years (time period) OR TBW Crucial SSD warranty: years OR TBW Unless you mean the myth that Intel drives brick after TBW? Then I guess you don't recognize my name. Check...

Is this dead? Newapp25 doesn’t work anymore. I worked fine this morning but I was at work and didn’t pull the trigger and now it says invalid promo code.

You should probably drop the condescension yourself because NewMaxx is right about everything and the trouble seems to be with your reading comprehension. You said that "other" SSDs don't slow down....

You should put 660P model number in description. I think SX8200 Pro @$72.24 is a better deal if you want to cover yourself for more potential use cases, but this drive is really sufficient for most...

True, as to your second point. As for the code itself, as ambiguous as it is could easily be mistaken for implying it were applicable to new users of the app itself, not solely relegated to new users...

Samsung has consistently been the leader in SSDs for some years now. So basically you have Samsung and then the "almost Samsung" tier.

Providing you are not over 70% capacity this drive is fast. If you like to fill up a 1TB drive then then 2TB model is a better choice. But no SSD likes to be full.

Considering paying a little more for the newer 760p model folks. All the reviews show its far superior to this older gen by a long shot.

The 760p is not newer, it's the TLC higher performance drive. 660p is their more budget friendly QLC drive which came out later.

It is also incredible for you to put your xps 9360 and data in such a short life condition (each cell has only 200 write lifetime)
Post #126072727 added 03-13-2019 12:01 PM by Virbla in Deal Talk
Your assertion is wrong, the TBW is not for warranty purpose, it is real. After 200 write, some cells begin to be dead, the data will be lost. learn what is QLC and know why write life is short....

Micron's QLC (co-developed with Intel) is indeed rated for 1,000 P/E as on the enterprise 5210 ION drives and many other manufacturers match this. There are other factors in play (including WAF) but...

Yes they do. Anything TLC-based will rely on a SLC cache and usually a dynamic SLC cache, meaning they will slow down and this will become a larger issue as the drives fills. The native speed of the...

He's referring to the TBW (total bytes written) rating of 200TB TBW. That implies a maximum P/E of 200. I'd call that wrong for many reasons, including the fact Samsung's 860 QVO is at 360 P/E by the...

WORM or "write once read many." However, this was based on initial predictions for QLC. If you read Micron's more recent whitepapers on the subject where they state a P/E of 1,000 and the use of QLC...
