This is a pretty good deal, single channel ram will hold back performance though. I have no idea why companies include single channel.

It's a mobile issue, not a desktop issue. Involves CPU/GPU frequency/usage in a ton of laptop chassis's.

fwiw, i tested dual channel vs single channel on my desktop for gaming. Made no difference whatsoever.
