I haven't yet but you can definitely set these up to trigger actions. They're pretty big, though, if you plan on putting them all over your house to illuminate your way.

ADT sensors, with the exception of the water sensors will ONLY work with the ADT BRANDED HUB and not the regular smartthings hub.

Yes. Absolutely. You just need the SmartThings app. The app will see all the devices on your ADT SmartThings hub.

The GE Smart Motion Sensor works pretty well. Set it up to send me a text message when motion was detected and ONLY trigger the lights between sunset and sunrise.

I've had the Monoprice ones when I had WINK and they worked well and battery life was great. They also have temp sensor built-in. I bought a GE z-wave one later and it's pretty crappy; hard to setup...

I had a very similar problem with initial setup of my ADT hub as well. It wouldn't show the weather on the hub screen, nor could I arm the device because it wouldn't show any sensors in the Home...

I got the ST ADT Hub a few weeks ago, along with a bunch of extra sensors, and motion detectors, adding any sensors seems very fiddly, where it the app 'hangs' for a long time without proceeding...
