Currently have an R9 Fury and it's getting time for an upgrade. Can't decide if I should get this or wait for the new AMD cards. I could only justify paying $400 for the new AMD card if it surpasses...

Yup. Let me know how that goes, if you do. I've currently got a gtx 1060 which is a great card...but it has frozen my upgrades!

Best not to make a decision based only on rumors. You might as well wait another month for next gen Radeon GPU announcement (supposed to be at E3). Then you can decide if you want go with current gen...

You are: Gigabyte Vega have horrible design which leads to overheating. No deal on those is worth the hassle

I had the Vega 56 version of this card and returned it because it was so loud. This is tempting though.

this price seems to come up frequently, might as well wait until after computex unless you need it asap

I just checked the link and the price is still at $299.99 and shown to be sold by Amazon so the deal is still on!

Come on AMD! give me the Vega 64 Sapphire Nitro for this price! For any who are concerned about the ray tracing gimmick, the Vega 56 has been proven to handle ray tracing well with the Crytek 5.5...

I have an r9 390, and its still pretty decent for 1080p 60fps some games high, some games max. I really want to play second half '18 + AAA titles maxed with solid 60fps so I really wanted a 1070 ti...

Very good card for 1080p and not too bad at 1440p. For $300 this is the best deal out right now, pretty close to a rtx2060 in performance.

The 2070 is going to beat it, but the Vega 56 performs rather well, especially if it's OC'd. Here's a video if you want to see it in action (skip to 2:25): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7XOott2_68

That sucks. Sapphire makes the best AMD cards, but there will always be some duds. Depending on your system, a 550 watt psu should be good.

I've had this card for close to 6 months. The cooler on this card is freaking fantastic. With some tweaks this card is one of the quietest high end cards i've had and temps stay in the mid 70's. ...

So add a few FPS to those benches! What I was getting at was go look at benchmarks/reviews on the card to know if its good for 1440p at games you may be interested in.

Does this card mesh well with 1440p? Or should I keep waiting for a deal on a rtx 2070? I recently bought a 1440p 144hz monitor on another slick deal and am in the process of upgrading my setup

Good luck with the fans though. They run full speed due to Vega bug in OS X I’m just about ready to put it in my pc to flash stock bios on it.
Do not buy a 2070 it's the worst value card. Go with 1080ti 2080 or Radeon vii. It's hard to hit 144hz on 1440p you will need a powerful card.
