No weird taste that I've noticed. If there is still soap residue left on your dishes then maybe your dishwasher isn't doing a sufficient job of rinsing or maybe the one we have does an overkill rinse...

I've been using Finish Quantum for a while, and it's doing a damn good job with even the dirtiest dishes and glasses. Maybe you need to tweak a setting or two on your dishwasher to get hotter washes?

My mistake, the platinum plus in my pantry does say 16x whereas target's normal platinum is 15x. So I guess that is the difference...if that 1x is the slight difference that makes it so I don't...

For what its worth I have tired both and many other tab based detergents. I have not seen a difference in the 2 but have read people complain about the lemon smell in the plus.

Aldi has their version of the Platinum @ $2.20 or so for 20 pods. Barely 10 cents each, and you don't have to store a lot of them. That's a no brainier compared to this, if you live near Aldi.
