If you are runnning a 12vDC solar system, you can just run power to a distribution block or terminal strip and wire your 12v devices directly to it.

Different manufacturers and solar panel types (mono vs poly) will have different power and efficiency ratings. One panel could output 18V while the other puts out 21V. I wouldn't do it.
