No, just a coincidence. Rtings says a similar monitor gets 4.3ms of lag with FreeSync, and 10.1ms of lag at 60Hz.

I’ll 100% agree. I’m and an overclocker/performance chaser. I think the consoles will make 4K the new 1080p, but that will take at minimum until next gen. The resolution isn’t useful at this size...

It's a VA panel, it gives less strain on the eyes on the long run on the eyes and the 144hz make typing look buttery smooth. But it would be overkill just for typing and coding.

Incorrect. I went specifically with 1440 165 for my gaming. In fact, most people I game with have at least 1440. So "some" people may want 1080p, but not all. Having said that I love MSi's...
