Seems like a great deal. But 3rd party extensions/cashback sites not supported to qualify for this. Also buying through employee perks websites (EPP) doesn't qualify. Otherwise this seems good

Yeah and you effectively get $100 back through cash back sites right now, so if you have EPP and can stack, likely a better deal anyway. Also, 8GB memory at this price is pretty terrible...

I agree. I'd get the X1E or P1 with the faster processors but the price jumps a bit when you add the options. The X1 Carbon has a U CPU compared to the X1E/P1 H CPU options. You'll get much better...

The only reason I'd go with the i5 is to achieve better battery life versus the i7. I wouldn't call the battery life a joke but it is on the lower end compared to the other comparable thin mobile...
