This i3 is faster than many previous gen i7. Vaguely speaking, it is what an i7 would have been, but since they launched quad core U processors, they knocked the branding for dual core 15W down...

I prefer the number pad as well and it does make it more difficult to find good deals as it vastly narrows the options.

Agreed, the display on that one is really nice. Buy and install a 4GB stick of RAM for $20 and you would be good to go. I think it's a much better buy than this because of the screen.

Maybe if it was a premium laptop that has been well kept...most cheap basic laptops tend to junk out after a few years in my experience.

Go with the CostCo one. That has Quad Core CPU vs Dual Core in this, better integrated VEGA 8 Graphics and 256GB SSD. Those justify that extra price premium.

The amazon one will be more battery efficient because of intel cpu and has a bigger screen. Costco one probably the better deal overall but both are really great. Those bezels at this price point

I'd honestly rather have the performance of this i3, than the AMD Ryzen that is in that Acer. The i3 is 30-35% more powerful, and I trust Intel for energy efficiency way more than AMD. Also, it may...
