Get a cheap refurb (or even new) Fire tablet. Almost as cheap, but with much more capability. And you wouldn’t have to go out and buy a charger.

The old Touchpad is slow, probably can’t handle updated software, you won’t get a charger with it so you’ll have to spend another $10+ for that, and the old battery likely has limited life left.

I have had a fire tablet for several years. It's far outlasted any of the cheap tablets I've tired. Those seem to last about a month or so, where the Fire Tablet has been 3+ years or longer.
