I purchased the next tier up (I believe economy) which was about $120 more, it comes with a checked bag and I can select my seat. The higher price is probably worth it just to not have to worry...

Can we bring a regular/full size Carry-On with this Basic Economy? Or only a laptop bag that fits under the seat?

OK let me restate it then. I will fly United if it were the only flight that I can book and I had to get to that destination ASAP. I've had a few bad experiences with them and made a conscious...

I don’t put a bag under the plane for anything less than a 2 week trip. Why risk the hassle of losing luggage?

Old news, AA is the one dragging people off these day! It’s probably true in this case, sine they probably never fly to begin with... i got $200 on the spot for a broken reading light on a 2hr...

There's about one dragging incident per year. About 2.79 million people fly in the U.S. every day, or over 1 billion per year. You have a better chance of winning the lottery than being dragged off...

You mean this? That guy deserved to be detained. The man who was dragged off United seat was sitting in his own seat, minding his own business. (By the way, when I searched for "American airlines...

I am sure someone else answered this. An hour layover in Canada would not be too short. You would have already gone through passport control in the US so you would stay in the international...

You can replicate in the Chase portal and use CUR points. If you have a CSR, at 1.5x, it's a very cheap redemption. Not a high CPP, but very few miles. ✈

It's a good idea. Looking at the fare breakdown, the base fare is like $30ish while tax is $230ish. I wouldn't be surprised if this is some fat finger fare and they clean it up tomorrow.
