Are you sure you plugged the monitor cable (presumably HDMI cable) into the graphics card HDMI port instead of the motherboard HDMI port?

The manufacturer left the power cables for the video card unplugged, then. You will need to open the case and connect them. Do this with the computer off, of course :).
