Optane boosts the speed of the MAIN storage. it's way faster than any SSD for random i/o.
So your common use apps and games load way faster.
More ram won't help with that.

The G703GX is absolutely massive. 2 in thick and 10lbs vs 1in thick and 6.5lbs for the HP.
