Received the pump and returning. Total garbage. Doesn’t work. Air leaks at the front tube at these little slots. I have used numerous aquarium pumps and this is the WORST.

Agreed a Python or Aqueon water changer is immensely helpful. I don't even use the "Water pump" portion of it. Just the hose to fill and drain via gravity. I also have a Mag 18 I use to drain the...

Exactly what kvznko said. 5 Feet is not that high, however if it's a big deal have you thought about looking into an Automatic water change setup?

I'd likely find a closer spot for my aquarium to my sink. Unless it's less then 30 gallons, then I'd just deal with it water changes don't take long at all for small tanks. :)

I second the Aqueon....when I was maintaining a tropical tank this thing was awesome...it made it way less messy to do water changes and clean up. Don’t skimp out on thing you’ll constantly use...

My sink is over 100 feet from my tank. Wish I had an easier way to fill. Thanks for this though!

If you buy a stronger pump, you can definitely pump 5 feet high. I have one that fits in my 5 gallon bucket that does exactly that.

My problem is not sucking the water out of the tank... It's putting water back in the tank... I have a reef tank and I can't just dump water in it and with tank being 5 feet high I can't just pump...

Yeah some faucets just plain wont work with them. That said there are a lot of adapters and a "universal" that is rubber ans stretchy and I think uses a hose clamp. Some of those handles unscrew...

I feel you there, if i were to do it I would use a 2 liter bottle. I'd probably fill it only 3/4 of the way and float it with cap facing up. Would probably be just fine.
