You can use cutting discs with the Ridgid angle grinders, they fit and work just fine. The only difference is that they don't come with the safer wrap around guard, which is a relatively new thing. ...

yeah I'd say that wouldn't be much used though I used one today to cut a pad lock off a storage unit for one of my neighbors because they lost the key haha.
