How good is this lens? Do you need 1.8 for a 14mm? Maybe good for astro but other manual 14mm 2.8 is way cheaper.

Lens is very good and sharp. f/1.8 is 1.3 stops better than f/2.8. Depend on circumstances, a stop of light may make or break a shot if you're already maxed on ISO and aperture. Cheaper lenses will...
