Used to be part of IBM, sold to the Chinese years ago. (That said, just try to find any PC made in the usa of usa parts - impossible afaik. Like trying to find American made at Wal-Mart of China.)

You can actually upgrade it to 36gb of ram via a 32gb ram sodimm and it runs dual channel at 2666. I did this via a Samsung chip off Amazon. Even swapped the wifi card for Killer AX WiFi works great...
