As I said, leave the seat up and people wont sit on it. Sit on the toilet seat. You dont have to sit on the lid. I've never sit on the lid before in my life.

You do not need to be a Costco member to buy the bidet. Just have to pay 5% upcharge. I am not a Costco member, so paid $210+tax for the bidet. Still a great deal.
