Google it, if there’s an adaptor for your Macbook that allows using ssd NVME then it probably will, otherwise as direct replacement answer will be NO, since Apple uses different pin and socket layout.

Amazon has the 1TB SN550 for $100. That's a lower cost per GB, and it should be faster as well (generally for the same model SSD a higher capacity is faster).
