I have the ported version of this and I can tell you that the sub is an absolute beast. I did a ton of research trying to figure out which sub to buy for my setup and basically came to this...

Yes, my speakers are all set to small and 80Hz. Running a 5.1 with Polk LSiM 703s and 706c. Crossover knob is at MAX/LFE on Yamaha RXV 685. Gain knob I started at 12 o'clock and now at 2PM. I also...

Only the sub was upgraded, 685 was always there. I do run YPAO for calibration. Typically it sets sub to -6db which I change to zero. Still the thump is not there

Just bought two for a new house... Hoping this is the right choice for a dual subwoofer setup. excited though!

i have two SVS subs which i love, but let's compare apple to apple, even with the current president's day sale, SVS's sealed 1000w sub are priced at 1500. over 50% more expensive than Monoprice M15....

Here is a review by AVS forum. They are audio/video junkies over there. https://www.avsforum.com/forum/113-subwoofers-bass-transducers/3087836-monoprice-monolith-m15-s-review.html "Earlier I...

You are correct, but some of us have read the stories of Monoprice trying to get customers to return subs on the customer dime for service. Again, it's not about the quality of Monolith subs that's...

For what it's worth, I purchased the HSU VTF-15H MK2 sub about two and a half years ago with a 5 year extended electronics warranty (after hearing about reliability issues) and have had no issues...

12' x 11' x 9' While I am not too experienced with subs, I agree with you that punch could be better. This sub replaced an old Velodyne CHT-12 that I bought used. We also have a 12inch Velodyne DLS...

I have a monolith 12” ported and find it underwhelming. It can be tough in a big room!

Instead of shopping for $1k subwoofers, I’d DIY them for half as much or less.

Maybe they did consider it and that's a better business model for them?

Seems like you have some inside info on the quality controls between Monoprice and the other companies? Well, thats just your opinion, man. I buy a car for performance....I don't expect...

Nope all you need is a Brad nailer and glue This Is a good deal for people that dont want to DIY. The only other company I can suggest is hsu. Any other company is over price. Especially svs.

Also for anyone looking to spend this kind of money, I recommend going to AVS (https://www.avsforum.com/forum/113-subwoofers-bass-transducers/), read a bit and post a thread with your specific...

That is very encouraging to hear. They SHOULD have great CS to match with their great products. I hope that your experience is no longer the exception.

Thanks for posting. Looks like all their sealed subs have a sale. Monolith subs don't drop much so if you need a sealed this seems good. I'm holding out for a deal on the 15" ported. Big space to...

LOL! Not me. Google the dozens of performance reviews that prove the Monolith lineup takes the lead in the overall performance per dollar ratio. Nothing new there...

Look in used market. People are getting rid of subs and also DIY subs all the time since they are big heavy beasts. You can also get a kit from PartsExpress and DIY in a weekend.

Discovered some driver noise in my Monolith 15 after 3 months of use. Nothing major but occasionally annoying at moderate listening levels. I called customer care last week. Less then 1 minute later...

So for you few that have never been to AVS this is kinda what it's like, debate over the 1 yard line of a football field. Truth be told no one over there could tell you what something would sound...

18" parts Express kit builder here, with crown bridged amp. It does the job :-)
Post #134958437 added 02-14-2020 3:08 PM by MrCrispy in Deal Talk
If you see the reviews and specs, the driver/cage are much better built and heavier. They are actually built by Claridy Audio. Monolith subs also are THX Ultra spec'd which is not easy to obtain and...

No one sells a sub with external amp, and there is no market for this. (Well, the high end like JTR/Mark Seaton do, but thats most certainly not a SD audience). Home customers do not want to manage a...

There is no reason other than HSU being a known name and they have been around longer. Performance and price wise (based on the stronger amp and THX cert), the Monolith beats their equivalent sub....

Chances of having to interact with customer service are small. I have a ported 12" Monolith, these are very well designed and well built subs. When I researched subwoofers some time ago I found that...

Interested, but then really turned off/skeptical as to why they don't provide the typical +/- 3dB frequency response specs for this sub.

I scored their brand monoprice 12 inch 150w to replace an old POLK sub and it was overkill for my system. This would be scary.

I totally disagree. You do know hiw many ID companies go out of business right? And none of the freebies offered by SVS are free - they are all factored into the price. When you see the fancy 'bill...

Post #134957708 added 02-14-2020 2:35 PM by aztecsurf in Deal Talk
Exactly! Monoprice should seriously consider selling just the sub with the cabinet with an external amp. Then,,, if the amp goes, replace it! Don't send back the entire thing..
