NVME drives quickly coming close to full 2.5" SSD sizes. My idea in the future is to just get a 2TB or so NVME, stick it in a small enclosure with thermal pads, and use it almost like a flash drive...

PCIE 3.0 is only stupid mega fast. PCIE 4.0 is stupid ultra mega fast. PCIE 4.0 drives are also roughly twice the price at the moment for way less than twice the speed.

Good deal. I've been waiting for a price drop below $150 to buy. With pricing looking like its going up, I think having sub $150 for high performing 1TB SSDs will be increasingly difficult to find.

Not true. I got my 1TB Sabent Rocket for a little more than this price ($150). $15 for PCIE 4.0 was worth it. This was black Friday but I'm sure they will be on sale again.

They wouldn't SHIP if it was higher than 0.5%, because it'd cost them more later to deal with warranty + possible recall/ lawsuit. It's industry standard.
