Epson stresses everywhere that third party and refills do not work. While I always use Epson ink they 4730 did have third party ink that worked until a firmware update early in its life...

No, just get a scanner. Inkjets will use up all the ink within a year +/- without printing. Even if you turn on only when needed, will still use ink AND will cause printheads to clog/fail...

No they don't. Quit spreading misinformation. Most failures are due to dumb users that don't follow directions. Examples...use crap ink And/or shut the printer off after use.
