This board does not have flashback. You would need a boot kit from AMD to update. Many users are reporting new stock includes 3000 ready BIOS though so that isn't an issue any more.

My b450 tom did not require a cpu to flash for the new 3000 series ryzen. Just the power supply, a thumb drive, and about 2 minutes. I'm not sure if this has the same abilities though
