I have this laptop. I ditched the mechanical hard drive and put in a SSD. I boot from the NVM drive and have the SSD for steam, games, etc. It runs like a champ.

Yes, although the 1060 might struggle to maintain 240HZ. Just be sure to grab a mini display port cable for higher refresh rates as HDMI 2.0 will only reach 144HZ.

Actually the 1060 is about 20-25% faster than the 1650. It sits right between the 1650 and 1660.

The 1650 is slower than the 1060.
1650 < 1060 < 1660ti
EDIT: and the 9750h that a lot of these gaming laptops come with is negligibly faster than the 8750h.
