Don’t have an answer but Btw Adata’s xpg sx8100 is $10 cheaper for less write speed, if you need the money. Depends on if u need that write speed or just read

luckily you don't have 970 evo plus. that thing idles at 60 degree, where as my 920 (in the same system) idles at 30 to 40. those number are with heatsink.

If that’s the case then there is something wrong with your SSD. I have a 970 evo plus in my main system with heat spreader and it never exceeds 38c at idle. My other system has a 970 evo and it idles...

I know it makes sense that a heat sink should help, but I remember seeing a video or article where they tested with and without. The without heatsink m.2 drive seemed to be cooler.
